Rick is the Founder and Principal Architect of JRK Architecture Studio. Rick holds a Bachelor of Architecture & Design from New School of Architecture & Design and is a licensed architect in Arizona, Montana, and Wyoming, and holds NCARB certification. With over two decades of experience in the architecture and planning industry, he brings a comprehensive background spanning a wide range of project types across the western United States, including Arizona, California, Montana, North Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming.
His portfolio includes ground-up and renovation work across commercial, medical, multi-family residential, custom residential, light industrial, educational (K–12 and higher education), and hospitality sectors. Rick’s expertise encompasses all phases of project delivery, from conceptual design and construction documentation through construction administration and project closeout, with a strong emphasis on program and project management.
Outside of the studio, Rick spends his time exploring the outdoors while hiking, camping, and off-roading with his wife Sue and their dogs. After living in various regions across the country, he has established Prescott, Arizona as both home and the base for his continued architectural practice.

Mike enjoys helping bring our clients’ visions to life through thoughtful design and practical construction knowledge. His hands-on field experience gives him a unique understanding of how homes are designed and built.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. His hobbies include camping, hiking, golf, video games, and traveling to Europe to visit family.

Sue serves as Social Media Manager and Studio Coordinator for JRK Architecture Studio, supporting both the firm’s external presence and day-to-day operations. With a diverse professional background that includes leadership roles in retail management, real estate transaction processing, and construction office administration, she brings a well-rounded, practical perspective to the studio.
Sue oversees JRK’s social media strategy and content, helping to communicate the firm’s work and connect with clients and the broader community. Her varied experience across multiple industries contributes to a strong foundation in organization, communication, and client-focused service, an essential component of the studio’s overall approach.
Outside of the studio, Sue enjoys spending time outdoors hiking with Rick and their dogs, gardening, camping, and exploring new destinations on road trips.
